In addition to installing a reliable wine refrigeration unit, luxurious features were inspirited into the wine cellar design.
Custom Wine Cellar Cooling: How Experts Created the Ideal Environment
The owners of a high-end home contacted Custom Wine Cellars Florida because they needed help transforming a small space into a beautiful and functional refrigerated wine cellar. Building a wine room requires technical skills and knowledge to do it correctly.
Custom Wine Cellars Florida is composed of wine cellar designers and cooling system experts and has been working with top-notch manufacturers of wine refrigeration systems. In this particular project, they utilized one of the excellent products manufactured by US Cellar Systems.
US Cellar Systems has been providing innovative wine cellar cooling solutions for many years, both for residential and commercial applications. We offer different types of wine refrigeration units to cater to the unique requirements of each client.
We have CC Series, DD Series, HS Series, LPQ Series, RM Series, VRM Series, VHS Series, WM Series, CTE Series, and CTI Series. In this project, Custom Wine Cellars Florida utilized our HS Series.
HS Series by US Cellar Systems: Features that Made it the Best Choice for this Custom Wine Cellar Cooling Project
In this project, Custom Wine Cellars Florida decided to install a High Static (HS) Series cooling system, and it was the perfect choice based on the requirements and different factors. It is a ducted refrigeration system, which means the evaporator and the condenser are placed outdoors and are connected by a line set consisting of copper tubing.
US Cellar Systems’ HS Series wine cooling units have capacities ranging from 1,800 to 20,000 BTU per hour. They have the following features that make them a favorite option by wine cellar builders, contractors, and designers:
- Space-efficient – Nothing intrudes into the wine cellar space, so no space in the racking, wall, or ceiling is occupied, allowing for increased bottle capacity and seamless look.
- Operates quietly – Noise from climate control systems can be annoying. Our HS Series is designed for a virtually quiet operation. The condensing unit (the noisier component of the wine refrigeration system) is placed outdoors.
- High-quality housing – Our HS Series wine cellar cooling units are made from aluminum and rustproof housing, which will protect them from external factors like rain, dust, and mud.
- Superior cooling performance – All of our wine refrigeration systems are engineered for superior cooling efficiency. Our HS Series provides static pressure for ducts up to 25 feet.
- Promotes humidity balance – Our units come with an automatic expansion valve that ensures constant coil temperature to promote humidity balance.
Our wine cellar cooling products are all pressure-tested to ensure quality, factory-wired for simple field installation, ETL certified, and come with a pump-down solenoid valve. We offer the following options for our wine refrigeration systems:
- Eco-friendly water-cooled condensing units available
- Stainless steel cabinets for high corrosive environments
- Secondary drain pan for elevated and sensitive installations
- Industrial applications available
Wine Rack Features Incorporated into the Design by Our Long-Time Partner in Custom Wine Cellar Cooling Installations
Custom Wine Cellars Florida is dedicated to creating outstanding wine storage systems that will enhance the aesthetic value of our client’s home and make your wine display stand out from the rest. Their creative team will consider all of your requirements and incorporate the features that will make your wine rack design unique and more functional.
They offer assembly kit wine racks, which are more affordable than custom racking. You may combine different styles and sizes to achieve a beautiful racking design for your wine cellar. However, if you want to personalize your racking, Custom Wine Cellars Florida can customize it for you. Your wine racks will be manufactured to fit the shape and size of your wine room and accommodate the number of bottles that you intend to store and display.
Custom Wood Wine Racks
In this custom home wine cellar cooling project, Custom Wine Cellars Florida installed custom wine racks made from wood. They used Knotty Alder, a popular wood species known for its beautiful knots and patterns. It is also highly durable and can withstand humid conditions in refrigerated wine cellars. A rustic stain lacquer was applied to the wood to add rustic charm to the wine room.
Upon entering the elegant wine room, you will be greeted by an arched display opening on the back wall. They included a table to allow the owners to decant and serve wines and added a puck light above it.
The team added horizontal racks at the top section, and individual wine racks and high reveal display rows on both sides of the arch. The display rows were intended for highlighting some of the client’s favorite wines. The bottles are pitched at a 15-degree angle to keep the cork moist. In the bottom section, you will find more single storage racks and diamond bins.
